Why in the fuck do I have "There'll be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry)" in my head. Why why why. Billy Ocean is not being paid royalties.. there's just no reason for it except to piss me off.



I think I need to have a sit down with Oliver Sacks or something to explain my brain to me. Or at least be able to discuss the songs on my intracranial jukebox.

Propaganda is the word

Rant alert. Sorry in advance everyone.

Thinking about seeing a movie? A buddy of mine just went out to see "I Am Legend" a couple days ago. Which he said was okay and all, but BEFORE the movie... apparently the theatregoers were forced to see this National Guard tribute, which is supposedly a "video" of the song Citizen Soldier by the band 3 Doors Down.

Take a look... it's just battle scene reenactments from all of America's wars with superimposed slogans that say things like "I will never accept defeat" and "I will never leave a fallen comrade" etc etc.

It's not a video. It's not even an ad. It's strictly a propaganda piece, and it's sick. He was pissed, and rightly so. People were booing at the screen. And he thinks that people should demand a refund if they are made to sit through that massacre of imagination.

Apparently, he's written to AMC Theatres to complain. I think they should be boycotted until they stop forcing people who paid money to see a film to sit through a long diatribe on heroism in battle.

And 3 Doors Down should stop playing music, write their last wills and testaments, and go to the front line NOW.
